Stephan has not yet completed his PhD but he is close enough, so his advisers allowed him to walk in the ceremony
on June 13th 2010. Stanford has a tradition referred to as the "wacky walk" where undergraduates dress up in costumes for the procession into the football stadium. This was fun to watch! Susan Rice gave the graduation speech this year.Afterward, every department had their own ceremony in another location followed by a light lunch.

s when Stephan walked on the stage! I don't think either of us will forget that soon...We had a wonderful week with our family being here, I'll give info on that in a following post.
