Mr and Mrs Juiced set off to Lassen Park on Friday...we had a bit of a drawback (no pun intended) due to a flat tire! Eventually, we (Keith, Becky and us) arrived safely just short of midnight with one squased papaja at our feet and 14 fellow worried campers to help us set up our tents.
All 18 of us hiked to sulphur springs on Saturday. Rotten egg smell....nice! It definitely prepared us for the amazing "soft pooh"(or so we named it) that we encountered at the bottom of Lake Manzanita while swimming. Yes mom I almost walked on water again....Hibberdene all over...
Before heading back on Sunday, we had to try and conquer Lassen Peak. Keith, Brian and Stephan did much better than Becky, Ching-jong and I...it was an AWESOME view (from the mountain I mean!) It took us 2 hours to climb the 2000ft mountain...we reckoned that we deserved at least spare ribs and beers afterwards! This meant that the final stop of the weekend was at Chilis in Vacaville...where? Yes, Vacaville, Spanish for cow-town!
All in all a great weekend...
